AC Schoeman Holdings (Pty) Ltd trading as Digital Rhino
This Refunds and Returns Policy applies to purchases made through Digital Rhino, operated by AC Schoeman Holdings (Pty) Ltd trading as Digital Rhino. Digital Rhino is an online reseller of technology products and does not operate a public walk-in store or collection premises.
All returns, warranty claims and product assessments must be arranged with Digital Rhino before any item is shipped back. Customers may not return products without prior written approval and an allocated return reference or RMA number.
No return will be accepted without prior approval from Digital Rhino and the relevant return reference or RMA number.
Before returning any product, customers must contact Digital Rhino and provide the order number, product details and a full description of the issue. Once the return request has been reviewed, Digital Rhino will advise whether the product qualifies for assessment and will allocate the return to the relevant distributor, supplier or warranty channel.
Where applicable, the customer will be given instructions on where the product must be shipped. As Digital Rhino is an online reseller, the customer may be required to ship the product directly to the allocated distributor or supplier for assessment.
Products suspected to be faulty must be returned for testing and verification. A full fault description must be supplied so that the technical team, distributor or supplier can properly test and assess the product.
If the product is confirmed to be defective and falls within the applicable warranty terms, the product may be repaired, replaced, credited or refunded, depending on the outcome of the assessment and the applicable manufacturer or supplier warranty process.
All returned products must include:
If the product is returned incomplete, damaged, tampered with, incorrectly packaged or without required accessories, the return may be refused, delayed or subject to handling, replacement or restocking fees.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the customer is responsible for the cost of shipping returned products to the allocated distributor, supplier or return address. Customers are advised to use a reliable courier service with tracking and adequate insurance.
Digital Rhino is not responsible for products that are lost, damaged or delayed while being returned by the customer or their chosen courier.
Returned products are subject to inspection and testing by the relevant distributor, supplier, manufacturer or appointed technical department. Assessment times are estimates only and may vary depending on the product, supplier process, warranty provider or availability of replacement stock.
Digital Rhino will provide updates where available, but repair, replacement or assessment times cannot be guaranteed.
Products are covered by the applicable manufacturer or supplier warranty only. Warranty cover does not apply where the product has been damaged due to misuse, incorrect installation, physical damage, liquid damage, power surges, tampering, modification, neglect, improper maintenance or unauthorised repairs.
Warranty claims may also be refused if serial numbers, barcode labels or identification labels have been removed, altered or damaged.
Customers are responsible for backing up any data stored on products before returning them. Digital Rhino, its suppliers and distributors are not responsible for loss of data during testing, repair, replacement or warranty assessment.
Data recovery is not included as part of any standard warranty process.
Change of mind returns may be considered at Digital Rhino’s discretion and are subject to supplier approval. Products must be unused, unopened, in original sealed packaging and in resalable condition.
Approved change of mind returns may be subject to courier fees, handling fees or a restocking fee. Special order items, opened products, used products and products specifically sourced for a customer may not be returnable unless faulty.
Refunds, credits or replacements will only be processed once the returned product has been received, inspected and approved by the relevant supplier, distributor, manufacturer or warranty channel.
Where a refund is approved, it will be processed using the original payment method where possible. Processing times may vary depending on banks, payment providers and supplier approval timelines.
Customers must inspect products as soon as possible after delivery. Any incorrect, visibly damaged or missing items must be reported to Digital Rhino as soon as reasonably possible, together with photos, order details and courier information where applicable.
Failure to report visible damage or missing items timeously may affect the outcome of the claim.
